GUESTS

You are allowed to bring one guest. Guests must be age 21 or older with a valid passport to travel. Your room is double occupancy only.

CURRENCY

The currency used in Italy is the Euro. Credit cards are widely accepted in Rome in major stores, museums and large restaurants - Visa and Mastercard are more common than American Express. For smaller establishments, such as local ice cream shops, pizza places or family run stores cash is preferred, as many do not take card. We advise you check out what your bank will charge you to withdraw abroad – if it is a hefty fee you may prefer to bring all your money in cash. We recommend bringing small bills before leaving the United States. Don’t forget to tell your bank you will be traveling to Italy – they may block your card if you don’t. If you must take your foreign currency into Rome, then you’ll need to find a reputable currency exchange when you land. It’s generally not recommended to do this – Italy offers pretty poor exchange rates to those changing Dollars. It’s best to change your money before you arrive. Click here to compare the exchange between your currency and the Euro in real time.

PASSPORT/TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Passports are required for all travelers to Rome. Passports must be valid until October 4, 2025, or 6 months after your return travel date. It is highly recommended that you make a color copy of your passport and keep it in your carry-on luggage. During your stay, there will be a safe located in your guestroom where you may keep it upon arrival. This will assist the consulate in expediting your return home in case of a lost passport. Additional information on the procedures to enter/exit Rome will be provided in your pre-trip information.

HOTEL CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Check-in time at Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel is 3:00pm; every effort will be made to accommodate you when you arrive at the hotel. Luggage storage will be available at the bell stand if you are not able to check in to your hotel room.
Check-out time at Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel is 12:00pm. You must check out and get your departure card by this time regardless of your ground transportation departure time.

EXTENSIONS/UPGRADES

Any changes once your ticket is booked, upgrades, or costs associated with deviating from group travel dates will be at the traveler's expense. Flight seat upgrades or extensions are non-refundable per the airlines. All payments must be received before any upgrades or extensions will be confirmed. Please indicate any special requests on the registration form.
